What Does It Mean to Believe in You?

You need to believe in yourself.

How many times have you heard this message?

If you have done any personal development work you have probably seen this message a lot and yet if things aren’t happening for you you might be a little bit sick of it.

Of course, you believe in yourself, you tell yourself, and yet things aren’t happening.

So let’s talk about this. This is a topic I am very passionate about because it took me forever to understand it.

So what does it mean to believe in yourself?

Well, first of all, it’s very different from being outwardly ambitious.

You may be outwardly ambitious whether you’re in a rising career or your own business. You might be very much outwardly ambitious and driven. That’s very different than be inwardly confident, truly confident, really and truly believing with all your body and mind that you are capable of doing what you want to do. Of becoming who you want to become.

I talked to a lot of successful people; most of them have accomplished great things and they have hit some kind of a plateau. When I asked them if they really believe they are capable of this next-level leap they say yes of course. Yet over the course of our conversations, I can hear the seeds of doubt in their mind.

It’s very, very hard and yet very important that you get this right.

So as you think about your goals, your impossible goals ideally, do you really believe you can do it?

Do you really believe with your whole body and mind with every part your being that you YOU! are capable of becoming this person or achieving this dream because if you do the rest is detail? You’ve already decided. Your mind has already arrived at the destination.

You are going to cover the rest because your mind is the most powerful tool you have and so this is the inner work and this is the mindset you need to work on. And so if things aren’t quite working, then work on this one element. I’m not saying it is the answer to everything but it is essential on your path to those impossible goals.
